Become a Sauk County foster parent

Sauk county foster parents play a special role in the lives of children and youth who cannot remain with their families for various reasons related to abuse and neglect. Providing a temporary home to a child or sibling group in need of a safe, caring home can be a rewarding experience.

Sauk County requires foster parents to be:

  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Able to pass a criminal background check, including fingerprints.
  • In good health, both physically and mentally.
  • Financially stable.
  • Willing to complete the licensing process and 30 hours of training.
  • Able to provide a bed and ample space for a child(ren).
The need for more foster homes is great. We are available to answer your questions and get you started with the licensing process. Complete the form below, and we will contact you promptly.
